We had lots to do today, so for many of us we started early at 1:30PM. There were programming challenges to meet - injections and bones to heal using the robots to push, pull the lego parts on the playing board. The Lego Lions worked on their bioengineering research presentation. about their invention, The FanCastic Cast. The girls made replicas of their FanCastic Cast out of fleece as well as Lego Lion Ears to wear to the competition. Girls recorded the story of their Fancastic Cast on the program GarageBand. This recording will ultimately be combined with a performance and dance which cannot take more than 5 min at the competition. Finally, they worked on applying the First Lego League Core Values in Problem Solving Cases.
Each one of these will count for a portion of their team score at the FLL Competition:
(1) Meeting Robot Challenges
(2) Bioengineering Research Performance, and
(3) Group Core Value Problem Solving.
